Steven Copeland

Steven W. (Pokey) Copeland, 67, of Peoria, IL, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.Steven was born December 8, 1948 in Decatur, IL, the son of Joseph Thomas and Zola Wyona (Landgrebe) Copeland. He married Karen S. McMillan on February 15, 1969 in Cerro Gordo, IL. Steven worked at Caterpillar Tractor for five years. He enjoyed collecting records and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steven was an artist, loved to paint, and was a proud member of the Democratic Party. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen of Peoria; children Kimberly S. Copeland of Forsyth, IL, Wilhelmina J. (Willie) Ozier and husband David of Decatur, Skyler Ian Copeland and wife Rachel of W. Peoria, IL, Joseph M. Copeland and wife Christie of E. Peoria, IL; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; mother Zola Wyona Copeland of Forsyth, IL; sisters Kristy VanDolah and Marena K. Copeland, both of Decatur.He was preceded in death by his father.
