Steven R. Booth, 58, of Decatur passed away December 17, 2015, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Mass will be held in Steven’s honor at St. Thomas Catholic Church at a later date. A graveside service will also be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Malden, Missouri.Mr. Booth was born January 9, 1957, in East St. Louis, Mo., son of Edward L. Booth and Mary E. (Ford) Booth. He volunteered at North East Community Fund in the past and loved to go the YMCA. He was a member of St. Thomas Church.He is survived by his two sisters: Cheryl Moran and Debra Mills (husband Mel), his sister-in-law, Cindy Booth, his girlfriend Patricia, many nieces, nephews, and his two beloved cats.He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers: Edward Booth Jr., Michael Booth, and his niece Laura M. (Row) Schultz.Steven was forever a kid and loved to joke around - bringing smiles and joy to all around him.Special thanks to “A Gift of Hope” for their patience with the family. Their mission is to save and enhance the lives of as many people as possible through organ and tissue donation. Through his donation, Steve will help many and a part of him will live on.
