Visitation: 5:00 PM on August 26, 2011 Funeral: 10:00 AM on August 27, 2011 Stephen "Ronnie" Hines, 71, of Decatur, IL, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, August 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Lung Association. Stephen was born April 18, 1940, in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of Melvin R. and Ora Mae (White) Hines. He married Irene Mason on February 21, 1998 in Decatur, IL. Stephen worked for 40 years as a sheet metal worker with Local #218 and also a gate attendant at Coon Creek for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. He loved boating and riding his Goldwing trike. Stephen was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Irene; children Steve Hines and wife Shannon of Mt. Zion, IL, Randy Hines of Decatur, IL, Andy Hines of Decatur, IL, Tony Hines of Maroa, IL; stepchildren Vee Arendall of Decatur, IL, Marilyn Rosenthal and husband Larry of Decatur, IL, Michael Mason of Decatur, IL, Teresa Mason-Lawrence of Decatur, IL, Jason Mason of VanCouver, WA; 9 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren; sisters Wanda Dexter and husband Charlie of Granbury, TX, Brenda Armstrong of Ft. Worth, TX, Connie Hunter of Burleson, TX Darla Fowler of Azle, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janet, brothers Kenneth and Michael Hines.
