Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, at Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Thursday, February 25, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. The family requests casual attire. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.Steve was born July 22, 1952, in Decatur, the son of Raymond and Shirley (Kincaid) Cox. He worked as a roofer and sheet metal worker for 15 years. He loved mud trucks, race cars, and Harleys.Steve is survived by his daughters: Kristina Hughes and husband Mark, Stephanie Davis, and Ashley Cox and companion Thomas Gerk, all of Decatur; son James Cox of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren: Jacob, Stephen (Nate), Breanna Wren, Grayson and Amelia Hughes, and Tyler Cox, all of Decatur.He was preceded in death by his parents. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Although you thought you failed us, in our hearts we know the truth - lifes lessons we have all learned were taught to us by you. "
