Stephanie Welch

Stephanie “Stevie” L. Welch, 76, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Decatur, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or LSA. Stephanie was born October 26, 1942 in Decatur, the daughter of Wayne W. and Marlene (Galka) Sneller. She married Kent Welch on October 23, 1965 in Decatur, IL. Stephanie was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was active with Lutheran Braille Workers and enjoyed ringing in the chime group. Stephanie loved playing Bunco. She worked for Mutual Home and Savings and later for ADM in the West Plant for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kent of Decatur; sister Debbie Bialeschki of Sadorus, IL; brother-in-law Bob (Bonnie) Welch of Pompano Beach, FL; nephews Jeff Bialeschki of Palatine, IL and Doug Bialeschki of Tolono, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
