Stanley D. Lehn, 85, of Warrensburg, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 29, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 28, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
Memorials in Stanley’s honor may be made to: Sharon United Methodist Church or New Day Community Church.
Stanley was born January 11, 1939, in Decatur, IL, the son of Melvin and Elizabeth Virginia (Flach) Lehn. He married M. Jean Byers on December 28, 1960.
Stanley graduated from Warrensburg High School and proudly served in the Illinois Air National Guard from 1957 – 1963. Stanley was a devoted farmer all his life in the Warrensburg area, was co-owner of Lehn Trucking, and was a member of Macon County Farm Bureau. He also enjoyed bowling, softball and basketball. Stanley was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and New Day Community Church.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean; son, Jeff (Lori) Lehn of Decatur; daughter, Sandy Caldwell of Riverton; grandchildren: Andrea Wakeland, Brittany Lehn, John Kyle (Rachel) Caldwell, and Sarah Caldwell; great grandchildren: Brycen, Mackenzie, Makayla, Adelia Sue, and Logan; sister, Patricia Bales of Decatur; brother, Richard (Diane) Lehn of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Larry; granddaughter, Amanda D. Lehn; son-in-law, John Caldwell; and brother-in-law, Alan Bales.
