Stanley Blair

Stanley R. "Mick" Blair, 79, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Heritage Manor, Mt. Zion, IL. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mick was born August 3, 1932, in Oakley, IL, the son of Edward and Dorothy Viola (Cook) Blair. He married Mary Joann (Clifton) in February 1953. She preceded him in death. Mick retired from A.E. Staley after 39 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and reading. Mick is survived by his children: Connie Becker of Decatur, IL, Brenda Nailer and husband Todd of Niantic, IL, Mike Blair and fiancee` Lisa of Lovington, IL, and Michelle of FL; grandchildren: Brian Becker, Karenza Yutzy, Corey Blair, Jesse Blair, Emily Blair; great-granddaughter: Madison; brothers: Floyd Blair and wife Jean of Oakley, IL, Lee Blair and wife Pat of Decatur, IL; sister: W. Jean Smith of Argenta, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one granddaughter, and one sister. "
