Sondra Kay Cooprider, 83, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on June 22, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek, IL. Memorials in Sondra’s honor may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Sondra was born in Decatur, Illinois on February 8, 1941 to Howard and Nellie (Pilcher) Atteberry. Sondra married Michael Vern Cooprider on June 20, 1959 and recently celebrated their 65 ^th Wedding Anniversary.

She is survived by her loving husband; daughter, Leanna Lindsey (Phillip); son, Richard Cooprider; grandchildren: Michelle and Brendan; along with her brother, Dennis Atteberry.

Sondra retired from Illinois Power as a Corporate Secretary after 33 years. She was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Sondra enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Jeanie Atteberry.
