Sidney Audiffred

Sidney J. Audiffred, Jr, 76, of Forsyth, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 2, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.Sid was born August 6, 1941, in Reserve, Louisiana the son of Kaiser Audiffred and Fritz (Ruiz) Audiffred. He married Fay A. Laiche on August 14, 1965 in Garyville, LA. Sid retired from Caterpillar in 1999, after 34 years of service, as Large Mining Product Manager. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes and also an active resident of the Village of Forsyth, IL.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fay; children, John Douglas Audiffred and wife Debora of Ballwin, MO and Amy A. Audiffred of North Aurora, IL; six grandchildren - Eric, Jordan, Brian, Grace, Sydney, Joe and one brother, Martin Audiffred, of LaFayette, LA.Sidney was preceded in death by his parents. "
