Shirley Ann Walley, 69, of Decatur, IL., died on Friday (10-10-08) at 4:55 P.M. in Aspen Ridge Care Centre. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday (10-15-08) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to: The Salvation Army. Arrangements are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Shirley was born on January 9, 1939 in Decatur, IL., the daughter of Robert Dale Walley and Mary Agnes (West) Walley. Shirley attended Decatur High School and was a passionate singer. She was a homemaker and a Healthcare worker. Shirleys church affiliation was the Salvation Army. She is survived by her three children: Carrie Burgess and husband Kenneth of Allen, TX. Ginger Thornell and husband James of San Jose, CA.; Robert OBrien and wife Laurie of Grass Valley, CA.; one sister: Pam Leibengood and husband Gary of Decatur, IL.; one nephew: George Strohl and wife Leslie of Mt. Zion, IL.; seven grandchildren: Jolene (Hartzell) Lund and husband Scott of Cokato, MN.; Alison (Hartzell) Franklin and husband Gabe of Gresham, OR.; Heather (Burgess) McLaren and husband Derrick of Denison, TX.; Edward Thornell of San Jose, CA.; Chad Burgess of Denton, TX.; Kimberly (Thornell) Shiveley and husband Donovan of San Jose, CA.; Andrea OBrien of Grass Valley, CA.; seven great-grandchildren: Wesley, Emma, Austin, and William Lund of Cokato, MN.; Annika and Emily Franklin of Gresham, OR.; Luke McLaren of Denison, TX.; great-nieces and nephews: Morgan, Hannah, and Ethan Strohl of Mt. Zion, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter- Joy Lee (OBrien) Hartzell, one sister- Audrey West, and niece- Kendra Leibengood.
