Shirley Frances Taylor, 87, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Harristown Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shirley was born April 2, 1937 in Pantego Township, NC, the daughter of Cecil Carson and Effie Thompson (Lilley) Cooper. She married Clarence Donald Taylor on February 6, 1955 in Long Acre Township, NC. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2000. Shirley was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son, Donald Wayne Taylor (Jamie) of Decatur; daughter, Melissa Lynn Dietz of Decatur; grandchildren: Angela McCay (Mick) of Rimrock, AZ and Michelle Taylor of New Whiteland, IN; great-grandson, Nicholas McCay of Rimrock, AZ; and a brother, Shelton Cooper of Columbia, NC.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Donald Taylor; sister, Effie May; and brother, Bud Cooper.
