Shirley Opitz

Shirley Opitz, Assumption, died peacefully in her home Friday, April 15 after a long battle with breast cancer.She is survived by her husband Joe, son Robert, his wife Stacie, and grandsons Michael and Zachary.A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3773 N. Macarthur Rd. from 2PM to 6PM, on Saturday April 23. If desired, friends and family may wish to make a donation to their favorite charity in Shirley’s name. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at DMH and especially Dr. James Wade III for their expert and tender care. "
