Sharon Harden

Sharon Lynn Harden, 46, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200, Landover, MD 20785. Sharon was born May 11, 1972, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Gary Lee and Gwen Ella (Miller) Shaffer. She married Barry George Harden on January 10, 2007 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2015. Sharon worked as a Security Officer for several different places, including Tate and Lyle and Staley’s. She was an amateur historian, loved researching family genealogy, and thoroughly enjoyed fishing. She is survived by her son Evan Hames of Decatur; mother Gwen Shaffer of Decatur; father Gary Shaffer of Cerro Gordo; and half sister Carly Ashling. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and husband.
