Scott Alan McElwee, 56, of Decatur, IL passed away on August 10, 2025.

A visitation will be held 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Decatur, IL. A service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church.

Scott was born December 24, 1968 in Decatur, IL, the son of David and Ruth (Pfotenhauer) McElwee.

He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving is his mother, Ruth; siblings Rock (Christie) McElwee of St. Charles, MO, Jennifer (William) Yattoni of Estero, FL; and nieces and nephew Rachael, Sarah, Austin, and Hannah.

Scott was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials in Scott’s honor may be made to First Baptist Church in Decatur.
