Mrs. Sarah ""Sally"" Mosser, daughter of James and Elizabeth Montgomery, was born on April 22, 1921. Sally peacefully left this earth on September 29, 2012. Sally was a native of Ireland and moved to Australia at the age of three. She met and later married the love of her life, Roy B. Mosser Sr., on December 28, 1942. Leaving behind her parents and fifteen siblings, she embraced America with Roy by her side. They started their family in central Illinois, blessed with the birth of their son, Roy B. Mosser Jr. Sally was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and compassionate friend to many dear to her. Some of her passions included nuturing her flowers and vegetables as well as actively participating in a bowling league for 30 years. Sally often enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She could always bring a plate of love to the table with every meal or pie she prepared. Surviving are her son, Roy B. Mosser Jr. of Decatur, IL; granddaughter, Mrs. Courtney (Patrick) Nolan of St. Louis, MO; granddaughter, Mrs. Christa (Jon-Paul) LaVenture of St. Louis, MO; and three great-grandchildren: Sally, Norah and Molly Nolan of St. Louis, MO. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery. We thank our Mother and Grandmother ""Ma"" for her unconditional love matched by no other. She led a dignified life we all hope to follow. Memorials have been suggested to DMH Hospice, DMH Foundation or DMH Cancer Care. The Mosser family would like to express special thanks to DMH Hospice, Dr. Goetter and Dr. Kohli and the Decatur Memorial Hospital administration, wonderful nurses and staff that cared for Mrs. Mosser while at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Finally, words cannot express our appreciation for the love and support provided by our friends and neighbors. From the bottom of our hearts, your support, comfort, company and kindness means so much. Thank you. "
