Sara Underwood

Sara S. "Sally" Underwood, 80, of Decatur, IL, died 10:50 A.M., Monday, December 26, 2011, at her residence. Memorial services will be 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with a memorial visitation from 5:00 P.M. until service time. Sara was born August 2, 1931, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Crawford) Lowery. She married John Underwood on December 11, 1954 in Georgetown, IL. He preceded her in death in 2004. Sara retired as a Secretary for Kopetz, Inc. She is survived by her son Neal "Ty" Underwood and wife Debbie of Clinton, IL; grandchildren Collin and Sydnee Underwood at home. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John. Sara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. "
