Sara L. Strater (Richardson), 54, of Decatur, passed away June 17, 2024.
Memorial Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur.
Sara was born August 23, 1969, in Decatur, the daughter of Clyde E. and Sally (Barnell) Winters. She was a professor of Accounting, Business English and Math at Richland Community College for over 20 years. Sara enjoyed watching crime shows such as Perry Mason, Matlock, Murder, She Wrote, and Criminal Minds, to name a few. She loved dogs and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Sara most loved time spent with her family and loved celebrating the holidays.
Surviving are her mother, Sally Winters of Decatur; daughters: Emily (Scott) Manzella-Blanck of Champaign and Rachael Richardson of Decatur; grandchildren: Lilliana Manzella, Sofia Manzella, and Mason Blanck; nephew, Caleb Hall; niece, Emma Hall; brother-in-law, Roger Hall; and sister, Lisa Winters of Monticello.
Sara was preceded in death by her father and sister, Kelly Hall.
