Sandra Smith

Sandra K. Smith, 76, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 7:36 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Heartland Healthcare, Decatur. Private family graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Leroy, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mennonite School of Nursing. Sandy was born December 21, 1937, in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Lillian Williams. She married Calvin P. "Cal" Smith on November 22, 1959 in Leroy, IL. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1980. Sandy was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She was a Pediatric Registered Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, retiring after 30 years of service, and was a Alumnus from Mennonite School of Nursing in Bloomington, IL. Sandra enjoyed attending sporting events and was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandson Tanner. Surviving are her daughter Stacy Calyn Smith; son Jeffrey Shaun Smith and wife Elizabeth; and grandson Tanner Smith, all of Decatur, IL. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cal, and sister Vivian Woosley. "
