Sandra Hurtley

Sandra Lee (Randol) Hurtley passed away August 2, 2017 at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, with her family by her side.Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family. Sandy was born in Decatur, Illinois, February 1, 1945, the sixth child of Homer O. and Geraldine (Ruthrauff) Randol. She married Larry Wilber in 1961 and later married David Hurtley, who died in 2014. She worked in various locations as a waitress and a bartender.She lived in St. Marys, GA for the past 17 years. Sandy had a huge tender heart and a deep love for her family, the Lord, and her animals. Sandy leaves her children, Lynette Wilber-Coulter (Mike) of Thorton, CO, Tionna Chaplin of St. Marys, GA and James Davis of Yulee, FL; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Jerry) Weaver of Decatur and Donna (John) Kendall of Mt. Zion; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her infant daughter Lori Wilber, her son Larry D. Wilber, who was killed by a hit and run driver on July 28, 2017, an infant sister Mary Ellen and brothers Joseph and James Randol. Sandy, you are deeply loved and forever in our heart.  "
