Ruth Pace

Ruth Y. Pace, 82, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m Tuesday, February 18, at First Presbyterian Church, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: First Presbyterian Church. Ruth was born June 19, 1931, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Jesse Roy and Ethel Lucille (Heath) Claudin. She married Dean Klingaman, then later married Van Pace. Ruth was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church and as part of her volunteer activities, she co-ordinated the church greeters for many years. She was long-time personnel manager at Goldblatt's Department Store in Fairview Plaza, and then later worked as a tax preparer and bookkeeper for H&R Block, retiring after 30 years of service. She is survived by her daughter: Diane Louise (Richard) Rushing of Decatur, IL, grandchildren: Katrina (Frank) Hubbard; Ricky Jones; Melissa (Ryan) Weullner, great-grandchildren: Anna Reeser; Madeleine Hubbard; Jillian Hubbard; Emilia Hubbard; Tyler Bridgeman; Jaron Jones; Tristan Jones; Mason Jones; Ricky Jones; Lily Weullner, great-great-granddaughter: Emmalynn Redmon; and her dog Missy. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Denise Lucille Jones, and grandchildren: Jeremy Jones and Derrick Rushing. "
