Ruth Myers

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 24, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Thursday, September 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church.Mrs. Myers was born October 14, 1925, the daughter of Harold and Genola Wade Deadmond. She married Dallas Lee Jack Myers on March 20, 1945, in Marion, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in October 2002. Mrs. Myers worked at Haines and Essicks for many years. Ruth enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing and quilting. Her church family was important to her giving her wonderful support, especially her friend Marie Evans and the phone calls, flowers, and cards received. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mrs. Myers is survived by her son Gerald Jerry Myers and wife Janice of Heyworth, IL; sister Doris Sablotny of Decatur; grandchildren Jeff Myers of Los Angelos, Josh Myers and wife Leanne of Riverton, IL, Jennifer Dean and husband Charlie of Brimfield, IL, Joel Myers and wife Catie of Normal, IL, Shawn Hays and wife Deanne of Lincoln, IL, and Scott Hays of Blue Mound, IL; nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Johnnie, brothers Paul and Donald Deadmond, and sister Lois Hopkins.The family would like to thank DMH Hospice for the wonderful and loving care given to her.
