Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M., Friday, July 18, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, FL at a later date.Memorials may be made to Peoples Church of God or American Stroke Association.Ruth was born March 23, 1933, in Taylor, PA, the daughter of Elliott and Ruth (Young) Hunter. She married Harvel Terrence (Joe) Hurt and he preceded her in death. She later married Fonso Morgan and he preceded her in death.Ruth was a member of Peoples Church of God. She received her bachelors degree from Mansfield State College in Mansfield, PA and attended seminary at Anderson College in Anderson, IN. Ruth was a Charter Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. As an educator, she taught elementary and high school and also at Ivy Tech Community College in Anderson, IN. She is survived by her children Philip Dean (Nikki L.) Hurt of Phoenixville, PA, Leanne Ruth (Ivan R.) Brooks of Decatur, IL, Jonathan Dale Hurt of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Ellen Hurt (Graham A.) Vernau of Snoqualmie, WA; grandchildren Elliott Dean Hurt, Caitlin Elizabeth Hurt, Jason Roderick Brooks, Laura Megan Brooks.She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and sister Miriam Hunter Appel.Ruth drew her strength in life from her faith and family.
