Ruth Fansler

Ruth Ilene Fansler, 77, of LaPlace, IL, passed away 7:55 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Ridge Cemetery in Long Creek Township. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Friendship Hill Retirement Center, 625 U.S. Hwy 36, Lovington, IL 61937. Ruth was born October 5, 1937 in LaPlace, IL, the daughter of John A. and Mary L. (Kestner) Cain. She married John E. Fansler on June 2, 1952 in Arcola, IL. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1992. Ruth was a former employee at G.E., and later was a cook at Friendship Hill and the Wheel Inn Café. She is survived by her children Mike Fansler of Lincoln, IL, Jack Fansler of LaPlace, IL, and Kathy Shoraga of LaPlace, IL; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; siblings John (Judy) Cain of LaPlace, IL, Ron Cain of LaPlace, IL, Richard (Gaylynn) Cain of Tuscola, IL, Martha (Scott) Primmer of Cerro Gordo, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Betty Dalton, Margaret Keeling, and Jim Cain. . "
