Ruth A. (Moore) Albin, 81, of Warrensburg, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in O’Fallon, Missouri.
Ruth was born June 22, 1943, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Edward L. Moore of Decatur, IL, and Dorothy K. Caldwell of Monticello, IL. She married her Warrensburg-Latham High School sweetheart, Richard, on December 28, 1962, in Decatur, IL. They raised their daughter, Susan, on a farm outside of Warrensburg, IL. Ruth was a homemaker, farmer, and an active member of the Illini Congregational Church. She cherished her time with her family and her grandchildren, Patrick and Lauren.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Susan (Michael) Albin-Connor of O’Fallon, MO; her grandchildren, Patrick Connor (Fiancée, Bailey Graskewicz) of Gardner, KS and Lauren Connor of O’Fallon, MO; her sisters, Karen St. John of Mattoon, IL; Janice (Larry) Collins of Herrick, IL; and Becky (Rick) Markell of Danville, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her soulmate of 59 years, Richard, and her parents.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Illini Congregational Church in Warrensburg. Graveside Service and Burial to follow at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorials in Ruth’s honor be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Illini Congregational Church, 5187 N Kenney Rd, Warrensburg, IL 62573.
