Russell Janvrin

Russell E. Janvrin, 90, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his residence.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 11, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs Church of God.Russell was born July 24, 1927, in Decatur, IL, the son of Lynn E. and Clara (Snyder) Janvrin. He married Marilyn Tatham on June 16, 1950 in Decatur, IL. Russell was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Boiling Springs Church of God for all of his life. He served as youth director, Sunday School teacher, a board member and became Elder Emeritus in December, 2012. He worked as head mechanic for Macon County Highway Department and served as Road Commissioner for Hickory Point Township. Russ loved the Lord with all of his heart and served him all his life.He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 67 years; daughter Cindy (Don) Snyder of Decatur; granddaughter Sarah (Ever) Maldonado of Gaithersburg, MD; brother Raymond Burton (Ethel) Janvrin of Decatur; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lynn E. Janvrin, Jr., Robert Janvrin, and Harold Janvrin. "
