Rose Marie Lawrence, 79, of Decatur, IL, died 12:40 P.M., Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her residence.Private memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or University of Illinois Home Extension. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be assisting the family with arrangements.Rose was born October 30, 1930, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Cecil and Iona (Welch) Fundy. She married Howard Lawrence on March 24, 1950 in Decatur, IL.Rose worked at EDS as a Data Conversion Specialist for 14 years, retiring in 1992. Prior to that she managed Broadview Harvester Federal Credit Union and Decatur ADM Credit Union. Rose loved cooking, especially for her family and loved her grandchildren. She was active in Home Extension.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard of Decatur, IL; son Mark Lawrence and wife Joy of Long Creek, IL, grandsons Shawn, wife Brook and great grandson Riley Lawrence of Macon, IL, Brian and wife Laura Lawrence of Asheville, NC, Marks stepdaughter Mollyann Wagnor and her daughter Emma; daughter Diane Fryman and husband Mike of Decatur, IL and granddaughters Kelly Neilson and husband Brandon of Des Moines, IA, Ellen Bower and husband Mel of Carbondale, IL, Molly Anne Fryman of Decatur, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents.
