Rosalee Elder

Rosalee M. Elder, 86, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Berea Christian Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, IL. Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society or donor’s choice. Rosalee was born September 16, 1930, in Newton, IL, daughter of Tracy and Nellie (Parker) Ball. She married John Albert Elder on August 6, 1954. Rosalee enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband John of Decatur; daughter Angela Rhodes; granddaughter Lora Cook, great-grandchildren Jonah DeLeon and Evelyn DeLeon, all of Brownsburg, IN; and brother Kenneth Ball and wife Carolyn of Newton, IL. Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Wandalee Cagle and Marylee Way, and brother Clarence Ball.
