Rosa Belle Rosie Miller, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 6:27 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2011, at St. Marys Hospital, Decatur, IL. with family and friends at her side.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, at the funeral home.Graveside services will be 2 P.M., Thursday, May 12 at Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown, IL.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.Rosie was born August 12, 1929, in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Earney James, Sr. and Grace Ann (Cearlock) Black. She married George Ralph Squint Miller in April 1958 in Vandalia, IL. He preceded her in death.Rosie worked in restaurants as a waitress and/or cook for most of her life. She is survived by her children David R. Miller and wife Erin, Sheila Kay Christie and husband Halden, Shelby Jean Stivers, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Shelly Smith and husband Richard of Mt. Zion, IL, Rick Christie and wife Vicky of Cerro Gordo, IL, Lorena Kirkland and husband Rob of Harristown, IL, Jason Miller and wife Shelly of Philadelphia, PA, Jillian Jill Miller of Owensville, IN, Cori Fagan and husband Dan of Chicago, IL, Kati Conway of Dallas, TX; great grandchildren Melissa Rodgers, Matt Rodgers, Blake Smith, all of Mt. Zion, IL, Mason Christie, Josh Christie, both of Cerro Gordo, IL, Austyn Kirkland, Reagyn Kirkland, both of Harristown, IL, Gretchyn Miller of Philadelphia, PA, Mason Pickering, Taylee Bookman both of Dallas, TX, Anna Fagan of Chicago, IL,; sisters Donna Nelson, Wanda Fiscus, both of Vandalia, IL; brother Tom Black of Decatur, IL; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and 4 sisters.Rosie was a Mom and Aunt Rosie to many. She loved to fish, mushroom hunt, and spend time with family. She was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and lets not forget bingo and puzzle books. She was loved by many at Fair Havens Christian Home as well. She loved to entertain her friends. Mom will be loved and missed by us all. "
