Ronald Clark “Ron” Zinn, 82, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Lincolnshire Place.

He was born in Brownstown, IL on September 18, 1943 to Rev. Dewey Paul and Mildred Irene (Easton) Zinn. Ron grew up in the Boiling Springs area of Decatur and attended Warrensburg schools. He married Mary Margaret Murray on November 30, 1991 in Decatur. She passed away March 9, 2023.

Ron worked in car sales for many years and co-owned M&M Motors in Decatur. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends in his younger days. He and Mary loved to travel and really enjoyed trips out west and to Disney World. He also enjoyed going to St. Louis Cardinals baseball games and watching them on TV.

Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting with arrangements. A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 2 pm at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.

Ron is survived by his sons, Randy Zinn of Decatur, and Brian (wife Kelly) Zinn of Decatur; his grandchildren, Sonya (husband Kenny) Williams, Dustin Hoskins, Brian J (wife Kayla) Zinn, Colton (wife Skyler) Zinn, all of Decatur; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Marvin (wife Kay) Zinn of Tennessee, Sandy (husband Larry) Constant of Decatur, Denny (wife Liinda) Zinn of Mt. Zion, IL, Andrea (husband Joe) Williams of Decatur, Candy (husband Gene) Stinnett of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary; his son Scott Allen Zinn; and one brother Richard “Dick” Zinn.
