Ronald Levi Williams, 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2023, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.
Ronald was born January 19, 1940 in Decatur, IL, the son of Eldon “Buck” and Eleanor (Stern) Williams. He married Sharon Sue Sunderland on June 15, 1959 in Decatur. Sharon preceded him in death on February 3, 2020.
Ronald worked for Wagner Casting for 30 years and also for NIMS in Springfield. Ronald enjoyed attending the Indianapolis 500, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and the Chicago Bears football games. He loved playing golf, especially at Sun and Fun golf course.
He is survived by his sons: Daniel (Becky) Williams of Oakley, Christopher (Mary) Williams of Bloomington, Michael (Renee) Williams of Melbourne, FL; daughter, Donna (Eric) Runion of Long Creek; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Sharon.
