Ronald Taylor

Ronald “Ron” Taylor, 80, of Decatur, IL passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:00am at Central Christian Church in Decatur, IL with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Christian Church or Alzheimer’s Association. Ron was born on March 31, 1939, in Stonington, IL, the son of Gerald and Rose (Montgomery) Taylor. He married Nancy Ellen Sheffer on Oct. 16, 1964 in Decatur, IL and she survives. Ron enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy; two children; Kenneth G. (Allyson) Taylor of Campton Hills, IL, and Kathleen M. (Ed) Lucas of Raynesford, MT. Also surviving are six grandchildren Kaitlyn, Sydney, and Samantha Taylor and Mitchell, Nicolas, and Anna Lucas. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Robert G. Taylor. The family would like to thank the staff at DMH, Generations, and Hospice for the excellent care. "
