Ronald Johansen

Ronald Wesley Johansen, 57, of Illiopolis, IL, born November 6, 1955 in Orange County, CA, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2013. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 147 Elizabeth St. in Illiopolis, IL. Please bring lawn chairs and byo. Ron's brother, Pastor Al Peratt of South Dakota, will be conducting his services. A memorial fund in the name of Ronald W. Johansen has been set up at Soy Capital Bank. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, is assisting the family. Ron was a graduate of Illiopolis High School. He was unemployed at time of death, but prior to that he was a certified forklift driver. Ron was a cardinal fan, loved riding his bicycle and raising his hands up like "Lance Armstrong". He always loved helping family and friends out. Surviving are his one and only dearly loved son: Andrew (Andy) Johansen and his ex-wife Cathy Johansen of Decatur, IL; stepdaughter: Chrystal Dillow of Los Angeles, CA; sisters: Beverly Perkinson of Buffalo, IL, Debbie (Murray) Otto, of Illiopolis, IL, Julia (Craig) Cotton of San Diego, CA; brothers: Tom (Norma) Peratt of Clovis, CA, Allen (Teresa) Peratt of Sioux Falls, SD, Gary Johansen of Decatur, IL; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
