Ronald Jenkins

Ronald Eugene Jenkins, 86, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Graveside service will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors by the US Navy and Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail.

Ron was born November 15, 1937 in Mt. Zion, the son of Harland and Alma Lena (Fore) Jenkins. He proudly served our country in the US Navy. Ron married Judith (Grady) Anderson on September 11, 2014. He worked as an electrician at Wagner Castings until his retirement. After his retirement, he enjoyed watching TV with Judith, especially Yellowstone..

Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Judith Anderson-Jenkins; children: Kyle Jenkins, Kelly Jenkins, and Kevin Jenkins; three grandchildren; sister, Beverly Huckstep; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
