Ronald Hawbaker

Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Ronald was born April 13, 1938, in Decatur, IL, the son of Verl T. and Elsie M. Hawbaker Neat.He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and attended Millikin University. Ron retired from the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, Springfield, and was a data input operator. He loved fishing, playing cards, the Bears and the Cubs.He is survived by his sister Elsie L. Sorenson of Forsyth; brother Verl D. Hawbaker of Amarillo, TX; nephews Kent R. Sorenson of Oreana, IL, Donald G. Sorenson of Villa Grove, IL, Jarod Hawbaker of Amarillo, TX, Kyle Hawbaker of Amarillo, TX; nieces Rachel Wood of Oreana, IL, Kimberly Cooley of The Colony, TX; aunts Betty J. Myers of Decatur, IL, Nelda Pauline Wilson of Decatur, IL, Dolores Hawbaker of Cherokee Village, AR; and many other special relatives and friends.Ron was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.The family would like to thank Aspen Ridge Nursing Home staff for their care. Ron was especially fond of Beth Shull. Her kind and loving care is very much appreciated. "
