Roger L. "Cowboy" Harrison, 70, of Forsyth, IL, passed away at 12:52 a.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials may be given to The Wounded Warrior Project or to charity of donor's choice. Roger was born June 4, 1944, in Decatur, son of Estell Raymond and Frankie Earline (Hutchison) Harrison. He married Mary E. Harrison on March 30, 1970, in Carlinville, IL. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2014. Roger served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for many years, and then worked as a corrections officer for the Piatt County Jail. Roger was a member of Prairieview Baptist Church since 1980, where he was involved in the bus ministry for many years. Roger recently transferred his membership to Metropolitan Baptist Church. Roger loved church and sharing the gospel, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his daughters Patty (Tim) Struck of McLean, IL and Tiffany (Jody) Scott of Clinton, IL; grandchildren Holly (Cory) McGinnis, Job (Ashley) Brightwell, "K-Dub" (Autumn) Scrimager, Tamzin Scott, Jessi Scott, Brittney Struck, Taylor Struck, Benjamin Struck; great-grandchildren Peyton, Karsen, Cale, and Liam; sisters Dixie (Dan) Douthitt of LA and Linda (Jim) Drickamer of LA; brother Gary (Tina) Harrison of Farmer City, IL; and father-in-law William "Buck" Turner of Decatur. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, one great-grandson, and mother-in-law "
