Roena H. Soliday, 92, of Forsyth, IL, formerly of Orland Park, IL, passed away 10:16 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2014, at Central Christian Church, with visitation 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to service time at the church. Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church or Shriner's Hospital for Children. Roena was born July 6, 1922, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Carlton and Helen (Crawford) Teters. She married Irwin S. Soliday on February 21, 1948 in Chicago, IL. Roena was a member of Central Christian Church. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1941 and later from Bryant & Stratton Business College in Chicago. During WWII, she worked at National Oil Company and Meyer Both Advertising Agency, also in Chicago. Roena was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Irwin of Forsyth, IL; daughters Debbie (Larry) Foster of Decatur, IL, Diana (Randy) Hubbs of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Laura (Mark) Kosinski of Bloomington, IL, Brad (Mandy) Richardson of Phoenix, AZ, Amy (Jon) Perry of Virginia Beach, VA, Ryan Hubbs of Arlington, VA; great-grandchildren: Zachary Kosinski, Andrew Kosinski, Taylor Perry, Isabelle Perry, Maia Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William. Roena's family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Fritz and the staff of Hickory Point Christian Village for the wonderful care given her during her illness. She was a woman of grace and dignity who was loved by all who knew her. "
