Roberta Nugent

Roberta J. (Owens) Nugent, 84, of Decatur, IL, died 5:30 A.M., Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Heritage Health, Mt. Zion, IL. Services will be at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or American Heart Association. Roberta was born July 3, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ozzie and Ruby (Wasson) Owens. She married Arthur Nugent on January 8, 1949 in Clinton, IL. He preceded her in death in 2004. Roberta was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She worked at Staley Manufacturing for 35 years before retiring. Roberta enjoyed golfing and making crafts. She is survived by her children Gary L. (Linda) Nugent of Ormond Beach, FL, Timothy E. Nugent of Decatur, IL, Michael N. Nugent of Decatur, IL, Patricia A. (Donald) Oestreich of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren Tracey, James, Melissa, Nichole, Whitney, Brian; and sister Yvonne R. Owens of Buckeye, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, brothers Robert and Rodney Owens. The family would like to thank Dr. Khan, Dr. Kola and Heritage Health Center for the care they provided to our mother. "
