Roberta Freeman

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 22, 2009, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Research Foundation. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Roberta was born June 15, 1925 to Robert and Fosta Smallwood. She married William E. Freeman in 1942. Mr. Freeman was a retired salesman for Illinois Bearing Co. and passed away October 22, 1987. Roberta was a retired seamstress. After her husbands death she lived alone for a few years before moving in with her daughter. She lived there for around five years before moving to McKinley Court.Mrs. Freeman is survived by her daughter Judy Wilkerson (Jim) of Decatur, her son Bill Freeman (Fran) of Vancouver, Washington and six grandchildren: Cathy Coffey, Lisa Vieweg, Jim Wilkerson, Jeremy Freeman, Josh Freeman and Jarod Freeman. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Brandon Pinkston, Stephanie Pinkston, Bryan Coffey, Elizabeth Coffey, Taylor Wilkerson, Dominique Freeman, and Paige Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by both parents, husband William, brother Michael Smallwood, sister Betty Bly, and twin bother Robert Smallwood.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff for their kindness and care during her stay at their fine facility.
