Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, is handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to St. Johns Hospice or Pilgrim Lutheran Church.Bob was born August 2, 1926, in Decatur, IL, the son of Harley W. and Margaret D. (Ellis) Ziemer. He married Mary Joanne (Gevatoski) Collins on October 30, 1987, in Decatur, IL.Bob served his country during WWII with the United States Army. He was a founding member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and a 57 year member of Local #65 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He enjoyed his family, work, playing Cribbage, and was a winter Texan.Surviving are his wife JoAnne of Decatur, children Mark (Davena) Ziemer, Rainey (Mark) Crowner, Maggie Collins, Lee Collins, and Theresa (Steve) Ragan, all of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Wanda Tracey of Austin, TX, Gloria (John) Vynalack of CA, Nancy Waddell of Forsyth, IL; and brother Stanley (Lucille) Ziemer of Peach Tree, GA.Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth Ziemer.
