Robert M. Wrigley, 93, beloved husband, father and grandfather died peacefully with his family by his side and entered his Heavenly home Friday, June 20, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Father Rick Weltin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Robert was born August 20, 1920, in Decatur, IL, the son of Otho Ingram and Mary Ellen (McEvoy) Wrigley. Robert and his beloved wife Esther Irene married February 14, 1941, in Decatur. She preceded him in death on August 12, 1994. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII. Robert worked as manager at Western Union for 30 years, and also as a supervisor of assessments for Macon County and Decatur Township. Surviving are his children: Michael A. Wrigley and wife Ruth of Forsyth, IL, Robert I. Wrigley of Decatur, IL, L. Stephen Wrigley and wife Linda of Decatur, IL, James J. Wrigley and wife Becky of Decatur, IL, Thomas S. Wrigley and wife Betty of Columbus, NE, Mary Ann King and husband Larry of Decatur, IL, Melinda J. of Decatur, IL, and Christopher M. Wrigley and wife Robyn of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers John O. Wrigley and wife Betty of Decatur, IL and David F. Wrigley and wife Loretta of Decatur, IL; and daughter-in-law Jacque Wrigley of Decatur, IL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Esther Irene, sons John P. Wrigley and Matthew A. Wrigley, grandson Jamie Wrigley, sister Mary Ellen Jordan, brothers James F. Wrigley and Donald M. Wrigley, and daughter-in-law Gloria A. Wrigley. "
