Robert Lee "Bob" Williams, 73, of Cerro Gordo, IL, died 11:50 A.M., Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Sullivan Health Care, Sullivan, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday (10-02-2011) at the Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL.. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday (10-03-2011) at Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany, IL. The family requests casual attire. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Oakley Brick Church. Bob was born January 5, 1938, in Findlay, IL, the son of Frank Devoe and Lela Maude (Stainbrook) Williams. He married Joyce Elaine Queen on May 2, 1959 in Findlay, IL. Bob worked as a truck driver for General Transfer for ten years and was Chief of Police at Decatur Airport, and also worked as an office assistant at A.D.M. Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce; children Lois (Daniel) Senger of Cerro Gordo, IL, Julie (Joseph) Voorhees of Decatur, IL, Alan Williams of Cerro Gordo, IL, Alicia Williams of Milmine, IL; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. "
