Robert Wildman

Robert E. Wildman, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Hewitt Cemetery, Lovington, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and American Arthritis Foundation.Robert was born September 27, 1924, in Atwood, IL, son of Leaman A. and Jessie (Hendrickson) Wildman. He married F. Louise Hale on April 6, 1945, in Liberal, KS. She preceded him in death in 2011.Robert served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during WWll. He was a professional pilot , starting out as a crop duster and then went into the private industry working for companies such as Upjohn, Miller industries, Teledyne and American Airlines. Robert was a member of the Leland Lodge 490 AF&AM, Leland, MS. and a member of The Harmony Lodge in Marianna, FL. Robert was beloved by his family and countless friends. His 'smiling blue eyes' will be forever in our hearts.Surviving are his children: Phyllis Patterson of Sewell, NJ., Elaine Anderson of Valparaiso, IN., Eric Wildman and wife Deb of Houston, TX., Rachael Norton and husband Bruce of Bloomington, IN., and Sara Robertson and husband Terry of Carol Stream, IL., fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He had more than fifty descendants.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise and three brothers. "
