Robert Speckman

Robert W. Speckman, 75, of Decatur, IL, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 4 to 6 P.M., Sunday, April 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund. Robert was born March 22, 1937 in Decatur, IL, the son of Orville and Violet (Schmidt) Speckman. He married Maris June Wickline in Boody, IL on July 3, 1959. They were married 52 years. Robert was a member and trustee of Salem Baptist Church. He retired from the Sanitary District of Decatur and was a member of Portside Boat Club. He is survived by his wife June; sons Randy of Mt. Auburn, Mike (Debbie) of Blaine, MN, Todd (Becky) of Decatur, daughter Susan (Mike) Stokes of Decatur; grandchildren Renee of Collinsville, Christopher of Decatur and J.P. of Las, Vegas, NV; brother Richard (Andrea), sister Shirley of Yorkville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lois. "
