Robert Richard "Riz" Risley, 85, of Decatur, IL, passed away at Decatur Memorial Hospital at 6:15 a.m. February 3, 2015. Bob, the hunter, the mountain man...the indominable force has left this Earth this morning for happier hunting grounds in Heaven. Now he can be reunited with his soulmate and he suffers no more. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 6, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at the funeral home, with graveside services immediately following at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to: God's Shelter of Love or D.A.V. Robert was born on March 6, 1929, in Decatur, IL, son of Tiny W. and Rita (Schultz) Risley. When "Riz" wasn't hunting or fishing, he was a sheet metal worker for Local 218 for more than 40 years, working for Longbons, King-Lar Company, and Craftmasters Inc., and with a long stay at Metal-Air Corporation of Springfield. He also worked during the initial construction of the Clinton nuclear power plant and several of Illinois coal power plants. Riz was a master craftsman of the sheet metal trade. He cherished his "Rizland" timber and farm by Herrick, IL. Robert married Patricia Ann Leibengood in 1949 and were married for more than 50 years. She preceded him in death in April 2000. Later, he met his fiancee Holly Jirka. She passed away in 2008. Robert leaves behind his children: Richard and Carmen (Gilbert) Risley, Kathleen Risley, Danny and Teddy (Geisslmeir) Risley, and Sam and Denise (Bonnell) Risley; siblings: Rose Kuizinas, Ruth Hill, Tom Risley (Cheryl Miller), and Bill and Marianne Risley; grandchildren: Patricia Maulding, Rick Risley, Robby Risley, Adam Risley, Jason Risley, Jennifer Savage; and several great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Don Risley, sisters: Mary Risley, Rita Weatherford, and Dorothy Elam, daughter: Ruth Hammer, grandchildren: Amanda Woodson, Wesley Woodson, and Nathan Risley. "
