Robert Clyde Ragsdale, Sr., 91, of Decatur, IL, died 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at McKinley Court Nursing Home, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 13, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 12, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oreana, ILMemorials may be made to Oreana Baptist Church.Robert was born November 3, 1918, in Oreana, IL, the son of Lee and Rose (Bower) Ragsdale. He married Georgianna Sefton on September 23, 1945 in Oreana, IL. Robert was a member of Oreana Baptist Church. He worked at A.E. Staley for 25 years, retiring in 1982. Robert farmed most of his life and was a member of Macon County Farm Bureau.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Georgianna of Decatur, IL; children Robert Ragsdale, Jr. and wife Helen of Manchester, TN, Loretta J. Buckner of Decatur, IL, Karen W. St. Pierre and husband Roger of Decatur, IL, Larry K. Ragsdale of Gulf Port, MS, Kerry D. Ragsdale and wife Sharon of Decatur, IL, Rex K. Ragsdale and wife Sue of Warrensburg, IL; 10 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren.
