Robert Perkins

Robert Leroy Perkins (Perkie), 86, of Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital with his family at his side. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family. Robert was born February 3, 1930, in Findlay, IL, son of Harold and Venita (Harris) Perkins. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of Boiling Springs Church of God, and previously worked at Borg Warner. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and friends. He leaves behind his son Rick (Debbie) Perkins of Windsor, IL; daughters Pam (Alan) Roan of Decatur, IL and Tina Campbell of Oreana, IL; grandchildren Amy Cassell, Amber Saul, Holly Flenner, Zach Campbell, and Christopher Roan; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Joann Reedy of Paducah, KY and Sondra Carnahan of Decatur, IL; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Joan Rendfelt. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Gharst and great-granddaughter Ava Roan. "
