Robert (Red) D. Nash, 74, of Decatur, IL, died 3:25 P.M., Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Lincoln Manor, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 9, 2009, at West Decatur Church of God, 4500 West Main Street, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to the family.Red was born January 31, 1935, in Decatur, IL, the son of Henry and Alveda (May) Nash. He married Melba Lowe on July 17, 1954 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2000.Red was a member of West Decatur Church of God. He worked in Construction, was a member of Local #159, and enjoyed fishing.He is survived by his children Linda D. Brinkley, Rodney D. (Terri) Nash, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Michael, Caitlin, Sara, Steven, Stacey; great grandchildren Evan, Jacob, Riley; brothers and sisters Donald, Margaret, Dolly, Mary Jane.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Melba.The family would like to thank DMH Home Care Nurses and Lincoln Manor staff for the wonderful care he was given.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
