Robert L. Bob Maurice, 84, of Decatur, IL, died 9:46 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Saturday, August 7, at Christ United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, August 6, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.Bob was born February 20, 1926, in Norris, IL, the son of Frank and Catherine (Carson) Maurice. He married Audrey Pschirrer on July 24, 1948. Bob was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1949 and received his Masters Degree from Bradley University in 1957. Bob then taught for 7 years in Delavan, IL and 31 years for Decatur Schools at Woodrow Wilson Jr. H.S. and MacArthur H.S., where he taught Industrial Arts. Bob was involved with the Co-operative Work Training Program. After retirement he enjoyed rose and vegetable gardening, woodworking, working with stained glass and loved square dancing. He was a member of the D.E.A., I.E.A., Phi Delta Kappa, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.He is survived by his wife Audrey of Decatur; daughter Nancy Epperson and husband Mike of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Jenny (Trey) Garver, Jason (Cassie) Ward, Jessica (Sam) Davis; great grandchildren Jacob & Evelyn Garver, Madelyn & Rhett Ward; sister Audrey Negley of Jenks, OK.He was preceded in death by his parents.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
