Robert (Bob, Bake) Eugene Keller, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or Illini Congregational Church. Bob was born December 10, 1925, in Niantic, IL, the son of John Baker Keller and Sara (Arnold) Keller. He married Mary V. Robbins in 1946, in Warrensburg. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran serving his country during WWII, and was a member of the V.F.W. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 1989 after 22 years of service. He loved watching dirt track racing, and was a member of American Rabbit Breeders Association. Surviving are his wife Mary of Decatur, IL; five daughters: Kay (Ron) Nusbaum of Oakley, IL, Connie (Greg) Babb of Decatur, IL, Jayne (John) Despres of Warrensburg, IL, Barbara Weaver of Decatur, IL, and Tina (Jerry) Camp of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren: Tonya (Babb) Rohrbaugh, Rob Adams, Shannon Babb, Jennifer (Adams) Lass, Stacy Weaver, Jeremy Camp, Ryan Despres, Blake Despres, and Nick Weaver; great-grandchildren: Faith Adams, Grant Adams, Hannah Adams, Ivy Adams, John Patrick Lass, and Patton Lass; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; sisters: Betty Keller, Mary Oliver and Ruth Boldt, all of Decatur, IL. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson Christopher Despres who died on December 3, 1986. "
