Robert T. Keck, Sr., 80, of Decatur, IL, died 5:45 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2011, at St. Anthonys Hospital, Effingham, IL.Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 14, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday, January 13, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, IL.Robert was born October 1, 1930, in Decatur, IL, the son of Thomas and Beata (Lorenz) Keck. He married Peggy Lou Van Fleet and she preceded him in death on October 21, 1963. He later married Henrietta Lookabaugh on November 28, 1964 in Decatur, IL and she preceded him in death on October 23, 1997.Robert was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1990 and enjoyed house painting, and painted for a lot of people. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran.He is survived by his children Robert T. Keck, Jr. and wife Becky of Columbia, SC, Nancy J. Stine and husband Robert of Altamont, IL, Janet L. Flemming and husband Jim of Decatur, IL, Ann M. Morstatter and husband Mike of Monticello, IL, Amy L. Merli and husband Steve of Dittmer, MO, Diane E. Patrick and husband James of Marion, OH, Jennifer S. Meyer and husband Darren of Lenexa, KS; 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers Betty Ross of Delaware, Virgina Thompson (Bill) of Decatur, Tom (Louanne) of Iowa, Jim (Dorothy) of North Carolina, Carol Lookabaugh of Colorado, Sylvia (Dougherty (Jack) of Decatur, Joe (Lynn) of Decatur, Marilyn DeChant (Tom) of Joliet, Don (Peggy) of Groveland, IL, Cathy Tokarz of Decatur, Jean Reed of Decatur, Bill (Sue) of WI, and John (Deanna) of TX.He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and grandchild Johnathon Nihiser.
